The apartment is a comfortable 110 square meters, on the ground floor. It is part of a one-story cottage like house within an exclusive complex of character accommodations. It enjoys its own private garden and terrace.
Really a plus during the summer days when the city is hot. Some vaporous shade does come as a blessing.
The apartment comprises one big double bed bedroom with private bathroom, another room with additional accommodation possibilities (click clack sofa) and second private bathroom. Ideal for a couple.
Fully equipped kitchen. The living room is particularly spectacular in the midst of towering bookshelves. The living room - albeit not immense - is cosy around the stove with a direct view on the garden and surrounding centenary trees. The garden is a nest of quietness and relaxation in the midst of otherwise busy bee Brussels.
I have traveled and made this a 'homy' place, full of reminiscence and collectables.
This place is also safe. Apart from the fact that it is hidden away from the little cobbled road passing in front of the complex as it gives on the gardens of the back, it has also an alarm. The neighbourhood is also very safe and quiet.
The garage can be made available.
Renting can be for a short city break up until a couple of weeks, if not months.
Public tennis courts are within 5 minutes walking distance and the park du Bois de la Cambre with its lake in the midst is also a quick stroll down the little cobbled street: you can start jogging right from the apartment.
The apartment "Clairiere" (meaning the clearing or meadow ) is close to some of the most exclusive Brussels restaurants (cf. La Villa Lorraine, les Brasseries Georges,…)
It is an ideal hide away for those who want it all: enjoy the ebullient cultural life of EU's capital, explore further cities (Waterloo, Bruges, Gent,…) from a central point, go on with healthy practices without having to go out of one's way (hiking, jogging) and make the most of a rare accommodation full of character and warmth.
